North Kildare's opening match in the Leinster Bodley league saw the team travelling to Gorey, to face some tough opposition. The home side proved too strong for the inexperienced north Kildare team who came home with a loss of 4 boards to one. On the plus, side David had an impressive win on board one, ending his opponents undefeated run from the previous season.
